Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence, upholding PetSmart's vision, and delivering on merchandising, inventory, pet care, and financial goals. This full-time role involves leading associates, maintaining a safe store environment, and ensuring top-tier service in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, onboarding, and performance reviews; delegate tasks and ensure pet safety protocols are followed.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Oversee pet habitat maintenance, inventory processes, merchandising, and Buy Online Pick Up In Store execution; maintain cleanliness, safety, and vendor relationships.
Financial & Business Growth
Analyze sales trends, control shrink and expenses, drive P&L results, and identify improvement opportunities through data and merchandising decisions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail leadership experience, pet care knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a passion for team development. Proficiency in inventory systems, P&L management, and customer service is key. We're seeking proactive leaders ready to thrive in a fast-paced store.
