Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance, including merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, financial outcomes, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. This full-time role reports to store leadership and thrives on coaching teams to uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, interview, coach associates; manage onboarding, reviews, labor, mentoring, and succession planning. Delegate tasks, ensure training, and foster engagement.
- Store Experience: Oversee pet healthcare, habitats, inventory processes (receiving, stocking, counts), merchandising, BOPIS/SFS programs, vendor relations, and sales trend analysis. Maintain standards, safety, and respond to concerns.
- Expense Management: Drive P&L goals, analyze reports for trends, manage labor/supplies, and leverage resources for business growth.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team development, pet care knowledge, inventory/merchandising proficiency, financial acumen, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
