Role Overview
As Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) in Pico Rivera, CA, you'll drive operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, financial results, and a safe store environment. This full-time role ensures our stores uphold PetSmart's vision of anything for pets and everything for you.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop associates; delegate tasks; manage labor and succession planning; foster engagement through recognition and communication.
Store Experience & Operations
Oversee pet health and habitats; execute inventory processes; maintain merchandising and backroom standards; manage BOPIS/SFS programs; ensure safety and policy compliance.
Expense & Business Growth
Analyze sales trends, control expenses, and identify growth opportunities while leading opening/closing and resolving pet parent concerns.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail leadership experience, pet care knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a passion for team development. Proficiency in inventory systems, merchandising, and safety protocols is key. Must excel in coaching, problem-solving, and driving results in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
