Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. Accountable for financial outcomes, safety, and compliance, you'll open/close the store, coach associates, and uphold our vision, mission, and values in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, train, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, resolve grievances, delegate tasks, and foster engagement.
- Store Operations: Oversee pet health/habitats, inventory processes (receiving, stocking, counts), merchandising, BOPIS/SFS programs, and sales trend analysis.
- Financial & Safety: Drive P&L results, control expenses/shrink, maintain cleanliness/compliance, ensure safe environments, and handle pet parent concerns.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail leadership experience, pet care knowledge, strong organizational skills, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for team development. Proficiency in inventory systems, merchandising, and customer service is essential. Must thrive in dynamic environments with variable store needs.
