Role Overview

The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence, upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll manage merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, financial outcomes, and store safety in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, interview, coach associates; manage onboarding, reviews, labor, mentoring, and succession planning. Delegate tasks, ensure training, and celebrate engagement.
• Store Experience: Oversee pet healthcare, habitat maintenance, inventory processes, merchandising, BOPIS/SFS programs, vendor relations, and sales trend analysis. Maintain standards, safety, and respond to pet parent concerns.
• Expense Management: Drive sales, control shrink, analyze reports, manage labor/supplies, and leverage home office resources for P&L success.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, passion for pets, strong leadership, inventory/merchandising skills, and P&L accountability. Proficiency in coaching, process improvement, and creating safe, engaging store environments is essential.
