Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. This full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. You'll manage daily operations, financial outcomes, and associate development in a fast-paced pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop associates; prioritize tasks, manage labor, and foster engagement through recognition and communication.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Oversee pet health protocols, habitat maintenance, inventory accuracy, merchandising, BOPIS/SFS, and store standards for safety and cleanliness.
Financial & Expense Management
Analyze sales trends, control P&L metrics like shrink and labor, and identify growth opportunities using Home Office resources.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years in retail management, strong leadership, inventory expertise, and pet care knowledge. Key skills include team coaching, data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and customer focus. Flexible availability required.

- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies while handling customer concerns
- Coordinate BOPIS/SFS programs and vendor relationships
