Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. This full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. You'll manage financial outcomes, associate development, and exceptional pet parent experiences in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop associates; prioritize tasks, ensure training compliance, and foster engagement through recognition and communication.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Oversee pet health maintenance, habitat standards, inventory accuracy, merchandising, and programs like BOPIS. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and vendor relationships while responding to pet parent needs.
Financial & Expense Management
Analyze trends to meet sales and shrink targets, manage labor/supplies, and leverage resources for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail leadership experience, pet care knowledge, strong analytical skills for P&L and inventory, and a passion for team development. Proficiency in operational processes, safety protocols, and customer service is essential. We're seeking proactive leaders ready to empower associates and elevate store standards.
