Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. This full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. You'll manage daily operations, financial outcomes, and associate development in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, interview, coach, and develop associates; prioritize tasks, ensure training compliance, address grievances, and foster engagement through recognition and communication.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Oversee pet health (feeding, cleaning, sick pet protocols), inventory accuracy (receiving, stocking, counts), merchandising, and programs like Buy Online Pick Up In Store. Maintain safety, cleanliness, vendor relations, and respond to customer concerns.
Business Performance
Analyze trends, drive sales and shrink targets, manage expenses, and identify growth opportunities while ensuring policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership, pet care knowledge, analytical skills for P&L and inventory, and a passion for pets. Proficiency in team motivation, process improvement, and customer service is essential.

- Coordinate opening/closing procedures and respond to pet parent concerns
