Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. This full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. You'll manage daily operations, financial outcomes, and associate development in our Waco location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, coach, and develop associates; prioritize tasks, manage labor, and foster engagement.
- Store Operations: Oversee pet health and habitats, inventory accuracy, merchandising, and Buy Online Pick Up In Store processes.
- Financial & Safety: Drive sales, control expenses, maintain P&L targets, and ensure compliance with safety standards and policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership abilities, pet care knowledge, and analytical skills for inventory and sales trends. Proficiency in team motivation, process improvement, and customer service is essential. Passion for pets and commitment to a clean, safe environment required.

- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Coordinate opening/closing procedures and respond to customer concerns
- Analyze trends and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
