Role Overview
As Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) in Willmar, Minnesota, you'll drive store success through shared leadership. Accountable for merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate development, financial outcomes, and maintaining a safe, organized store. This full-time role offers dynamic responsibilities in a pet-loving community.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, onboarding, and performance reviews. Delegate tasks, ensure training compliance, and foster engagement through recognition.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Oversight of pet health (feeding, cleaning habitats for birds, reptiles, fish); inventory processes (receiving, stocking, counts); merchandising and planograms. Handle BOPIS/SFS, vendor relations, and sales trend analysis.
Financial & Compliance
Drive P&L via sales targets, shrink reduction, and expense management. Maintain standards, safety protocols, and respond to pet parent concerns during openings/closings.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail leadership experience, pet care knowledge, strong analytical skills for P&L/inventory, and passion for team building. Proficiency in operational processes, customer service, and problem-solving required.
