Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), you'll drive operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, and associate oversight. Maintain a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Act as leader on duty, ensuring top-tier store experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train associates on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide feedback for performance reviews, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, cycle counts, POS transactions, and compliance with policies.
- Pet Care: Ensure pet health through cleaning, feeding, quarantine protocols, and vet transport if needed.
- Customer Focus: Support online pickups, maintain visual standards, and deliver positive pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Full-time flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays essential. Excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and computer proficiency. No direct reports, but guide associates and provide performance input.
Physical Demands
Role involves standing, lifting, pet handling in a dynamic retail environment.
