Role Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence. You'll oversee merchandising, inventory, pet care, store opening/closing, associate guidance, and maintaining a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide feedback for performance reviews, and lead as the on-duty supervisor.
• Store Operations: Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits and sales trends, handle POS and cash transactions, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Pet Care: Maintain pet health standards, including cleaning, feeding, quarantine protocols, and transporting sick pets to vets as needed.
• Customer Experience: Support online order pickups and foster positive interactions for pet parents.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings, full-time flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports, but you'll guide associates and act as leader on duty. Physical demands include working in a pet-friendly retail environment.
