Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence in our Cedar Hill, Texas store. This full-time role focuses on merchandising, inventory management, pet care, associate oversight, and maintaining a safe, organized environment while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Support sales associates with training on product knowledge, delegate tasks, mentor for growth, provide feedback for reviews/promotions, lead as leader on duty, and celebrate achievements to boost engagement.
- Store Operations: Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits and replenishment, handle POS/cash transactions, ensure policy compliance, oversee opening/closing, and support online order pickups.
- Pet Care Excellence: Maintain pet health standards through cleaning, feeding, monitoring; report and transport sick pets to vets; prepare new arrivals post-quarantine.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings, full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational skills for visually appealing store layouts. No direct reports, but guide associates and act as leader when needed. Physical demands include working in a pet-friendly environment.
