Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory management, pet care, and associate leadership. Based in Charleston, SC, this full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Act as leader on duty, overseeing operations from opening to closing.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Support sales associates with training on product knowledge, delegate daily tasks, provide feedback for performance reviews, and foster engagement through recognition and coaching.
Store Operations
Optimize sales via merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits and replenishment, handle POS and cash transactions, execute online order pickups, and maintain pet care standards including cleaning, feeding, health monitoring, and vet transport.
Compliance & Experience
Ensure policy adherence, conduct cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and deliver positive experiences for associates and pet parents while prioritizing pet safety and health.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full availability including evenings/weekends/holidays, computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports but guide associate development and act as leader on duty.
