Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), you'll share responsibility for store operations, merchandising, inventory, and pet care. Lead associates, ensure a safe environment, and uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. Full-time role with evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, mentor, and coach associates; delegate tasks; provide feedback for performance reviews; act as leader on duty.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, POS transactions, and online order fulfillment.
- Pet Care: Maintain cleanliness, feed pets, monitor health, quarantine new arrivals, and transport sick pets to vets as needed.
- Compliance: Enforce policies, procedures, and code of ethics for a visually appealing, safe store.
Experience & Skills
Requires 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication, and composure under pressure. Proficiency in computers; passion for pets a plus. No direct reports but guides associate development.
