Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence. This full-time role involves merchandising, inventory management, pet care, store opening/closing, associate oversight, and maintaining a safe, organized store. Act as leader on duty, ensuring compliance with policies and upholding our brand promise.
People Leadership
- Guide sales associates on merchandise handling, product knowledge, and presentation.
- Facilitate training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, feedback, and recognition.
- Delegate tasks, direct associates, and address complaints.
Store Operations & Pet Care
- Optimize sales through product placement, seasonal displays, and promotions.
- Manage inventory, conduct audits, analyze trends, and handle cycle counts.
- Operate POS systems, ensure pet health/safety, and support online order fulfillment.
- Report sick pets and prepare new arrivals per protocols.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time flexibility, computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational skills. No direct reports, but guide associates and provide performance feedback. Physical demands include lifting and pet handling in a dynamic retail setting.
