Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory management, pet care, and associate leadership. This full-time role in Douglas, Georgia, involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe environment, and upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. Act as leader on duty when needed, with no direct reports but guiding associate development.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Support sales associates with training on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide coaching and feedback for performance reviews, address grievances, and celebrate achievements to boost engagement.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Manage merchandise strategies, inventory audits, POS transactions, and online order fulfillment. Maintain pet care standards including feeding, cleaning, health checks, quarantine for new arrivals, and immediate vet transport for sick pets. Execute opening/closing procedures and ensure compliance with policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Must have full-time flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays; proficiency in computer apps; strong communication; composure under pressure; and organizational skills for visually appealing store layouts.
