Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) drives operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. You'll uphold PetSmart's vision, maintain a safe store, and act as leader on duty, ensuring an exceptional experience for associates and customers alike. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, mentor, and coach associates; delegate tasks; provide feedback for reviews and promotions; resolve grievances; celebrate achievements.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, sales trends; handle POS and cash; execute opening/closing procedures.
- Pet Care Excellence: Maintain pet health standards, monitor new arrivals, transport sick pets to vets, ensure quarantine protocols.
- Customer Focus: Support online order pickups, uphold brand standards, foster positive pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Proficiency in computers and passion for pets required. No direct reports, but guide associate development and lead in supervisor's absence.
