Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory management, pet care, and associate leadership. Based in Evansville, Indiana, this full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Act as leader on duty, overseeing operations during openings, closings, and peak times.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Support sales associates with training on product knowledge, delegate daily tasks, provide coaching and feedback for performance reviews, and celebrate achievements to boost engagement. Address complaints and act as leader when supervisors are absent.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits and replenishment, handle POS transactions, and maintain compliance with policies. Oversee pet care including feeding, cleaning, health checks, quarantine for new arrivals, and immediate vet transport for sick pets. Ensure seamless online order pickups and a positive pet parent experience.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Must have full-time flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays; proficiency in computer apps; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to stay composed under pressure; and passion for pets and visual merchandising.
