Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory management, pet care, and associate leadership. This full-time role in Fresno, CA, ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Act as leader on duty, overseeing operations during openings, closings, and peak times.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Guide sales associates with training on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide coaching and feedback for performance reviews, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Recognize achievements to boost engagement and resolve complaints.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Manage merchandise strategies, inventory audits, cycle counts, and sales trend analysis. Handle POS systems, cash transactions, and online order fulfillment. Maintain pet health standards—cleaning, feeding, quarantine, and immediate vet transport for sick pets—while ensuring a positive experience for pet parents.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full availability including evenings/weekends/holidays, computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail for visually appealing stores. No direct reports but guide associates and provide feedback.

- Maintain pet care standards including cleaning, feeding, health monitoring, and vet transport as needed
- Facilitate positive experiences for pet parents with in-store pickups and online orders
