Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) drives operational excellence in our Houston store. You'll share responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate oversight, and maintaining a safe, organized space. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, acting as leader on duty when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, mentor, and coach associates on product knowledge, task delegation, and performance feedback. Recognize achievements to boost engagement and handle grievances.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, cycle counts, and sales trend analysis. Execute POS transactions and ensure policy compliance.
- Pet Care Excellence: Uphold standards for cleaning, feeding, health checks, and new pet quarantines. Report and transport sick pets to vets promptly.
- Customer Experience: Support online order pickups and create positive interactions for pet parents.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Proficiency in computers and passion for pets required. No direct reports, but guide associate development and provide feedback.
