Role Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) drives operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, store operations, and associate leadership. You'll uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy while maintaining a safe, organized store. Act as leader on duty, guiding teams and ensuring brand promise delivery in a fast-paced pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Train, coach, and mentor sales associates on product knowledge and standards; delegate tasks; provide feedback for performance reviews; recognize achievements to boost engagement.
• Store Operations: Optimize sales through merchandise placement, seasonal displays, and promotions; manage inventory audits, cycle counts, and replenishment; handle POS and cash accurately.
• Pet Care Excellence: Maintain cleaning/feeding standards; monitor new arrivals and sick pets; transport to vet; ensure healthy transitions to sales floor and positive online order experiences.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused environments. Full-time flexibility required (evenings, weekends, holidays). Key skills include computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail for visually appealing stores. No direct reports, but guide associates and act as leader when needed. Physical demands include retail work environment.
