Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory management, pet care operations, and associate leadership. This full-time role in Kelowna, BC, ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Act as leader on duty, manage opening/closing, and deliver exceptional pet parent experiences.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Support associates with training on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide coaching and feedback for performance reviews, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Recognize achievements to boost engagement and resolve grievances.
Store Operations
Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits and cycle counts, operate POS systems, maintain compliance with policies, and handle online order fulfillment. Ensure visually appealing store layouts and optimal sales through trend analysis.
Pet Care Excellence
Maintain commitment standards for cleaning, feeding, and health monitoring of store pets. Prepare new arrivals post-quarantine, report sick/injured pets, and transport to vets as needed for safety and well-being.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full availability including evenings/weekends/holidays, computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports but guide associate development and provide performance input.

- Manage inventory through audits, cycle counts, sales trend analysis, and replenishment recommendations
- Oversee store operations including opening/closing, POS transactions, and policy compliance
- Maintain pet care standards including cleaning, feeding, health monitoring, and vet transport as needed
- Ensure positive experiences for pet parents with in-store pickups and online orders
