Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) drives operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, and store leadership. You'll guide associates, ensure a safe environment, and uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, and values in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, mentor, and coach sales associates; delegate tasks; lead as manager-on-duty; handle grievances and celebrate achievements.
- Store Operations: Optimize merchandising, manage inventory audits and trends, execute POS transactions, and maintain compliance with policies.
- Pet Care Excellence: Oversee cleaning, feeding, health monitoring; prepare new arrivals; transport sick pets to vets; ensure positive pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports, but you'll guide associates and act as leader when needed. Physical demands include lifting and a fast-paced store environment.
