Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory management, pet care, and associate leadership. This full-time role in Martinsburg, West Virginia, involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, organized store, and upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Act as leader on duty when needed, with no direct reports but guiding associate development.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Support sales associates with training on product knowledge and standards; facilitate onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and feedback for performance reviews; delegate tasks; lead when manager is absent; address complaints and celebrate engagement.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits and replenishment; handle POS and cash; maintain store standards and pet care (cleaning, feeding, health checks, vet transport); support online order pickups; conduct cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
Experience & Skills
Requires 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail for visual merchandising. Physical demands include lifting and pet handling in a dynamic retail environment.

- Act as leader on duty, addressing associate concerns and driving engagement
