Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence. You'll oversee merchandising, inventory, pet care, store procedures, and associate guidance to uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, acting as leader on duty when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train and mentor associates on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide feedback for performance reviews, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, sales trend analysis, POS transactions, and compliance with policies.
- Pet Care Excellence: Maintain pet health standards, handle new arrivals, monitor sick pets, and ensure safe environments.
- Customer Experience: Support online order pickups and deliver exceptional service to pet parents.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Proficiency in computers and passion for pets required. No direct reports, but you'll guide associates and provide performance input.
