Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), you'll drive operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, and associate leadership. Uphold PetSmart's vision while maintaining a safe, organized store. Act as leader on duty, guiding teams without direct reports but influencing performance and development.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train and mentor associates on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide feedback for reviews/promotions, resolve grievances, and boost engagement.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, sales trend analysis, POS transactions, and online order fulfillment for seamless pet parent experiences.
- Pet Care: Ensure health/safety standards through cleaning, feeding, quarantine protocols, sick pet identification, and vet transport as needed.
- Compliance & Standards: Execute opening/closing procedures, uphold Policies & Procedures, and maintain visually appealing store layouts.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. Passion for pets and customer focus essential. Physical demands include standing, lifting, and pet handling in a dynamic retail setting.
