Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), drive operational excellence sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, store leadership, and safety. Uphold PetSmart's vision while leading associates and optimizing the store experience in a fast-paced pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Guide sales associates with training, mentoring, task delegation, feedback, and recognition to boost engagement.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, inventory audits, cycle counts, POS transactions, and opening/closing procedures.
- Pet Care Excellence: Maintain standards for cleaning, feeding, health monitoring, new arrivals, and immediate vet transport for sick pets.
- Customer Focus: Ensure seamless in-store and online order experiences while enforcing policies and safety.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail for visual merchandising. No direct reports but guide associates and act as leader on duty.

Responsibilities
- Lead associates in merchandise handling, training, onboarding, and performance feedback
- Execute merchandising strategies, manage inventory levels, conduct audits and cycle counts
- Oversee store opening/closing, POS operations, and compliance with policies
- Maintain pet care standards including cleaning, feeding, health checks, and vet transport
- Ensure positive experiences for pet parents with in-store and online orders
- Foster associate engagement through recognition, task delegation, and grievance resolution
