Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence. You'll oversee merchandising, inventory, pet care, store safety, and associate guidance while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, acting as leader-on-duty when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, mentor, and coach sales associates on product knowledge and standards; delegate tasks, provide performance feedback, handle grievances, and boost engagement.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise strategies, inventory audits, sales trend analysis, POS transactions, and compliance with policies.
- Pet Care Excellence: Ensure pet health through cleaning, feeding, quarantine protocols, and immediate vet transport for sick pets.
- Customer Experience: Support online order pickups and maintain a safe, organized, visually appealing store.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and computer proficiency. No direct reports, but you'll guide associates and provide feedback to leadership. Physical demands include lifting and a fast-paced retail environment.
