Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), drive operational excellence upholding PetSmart's vision. Share responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, store operations, and associate leadership. Act as leader on duty, ensuring a safe, organized store and positive experiences for pets and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, coach, and mentor associates; delegate tasks; provide feedback for reviews; resolve grievances; celebrate engagement.
- Store Operations: Optimize merchandising, manage inventory audits and trends; handle POS and cash; execute openings/closings; support online orders.
- Pet Care: Maintain cleaning/feeding standards; monitor health; quarantine new arrivals; transport sick pets to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Full-time flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, computer proficiency, and visual merchandising. No direct reports but guide associates and act as leader when needed. Physical demands include lifting, standing, and pet handling in a dynamic retail environment.
