Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence in our Salem, MA store. You'll oversee merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate guidance, and store safety while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, acting as leader on duty when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train, coach, and mentor sales associates; delegate tasks; provide performance feedback; recognize achievements; handle grievances.
- Store Operations: Manage merchandise placement, seasonal displays, inventory audits, and sales trend analysis; operate POS systems; ensure policy compliance.
- Pet Care Excellence: Maintain cleaning, feeding, and health standards for store pets; quarantine new arrivals; transport sick pets to vets; support online order pickups.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Proficiency in computers and passion for pets required. No direct reports, but you'll guide associates and provide feedback to leadership.

- Maintain pet care standards including cleaning, feeding, health checks, and vet transport as needed
- Facilitate positive experiences for pet parents with in-store pickups and online orders
