Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), you'll share responsibility for store operations, merchandising, inventory, and pet care. Lead associates, ensure a safe/organized environment, and uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. Act as leader on duty, handling opening/closing and fostering team engagement in a fast-paced pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train/mentor associates on product knowledge, delegate tasks, provide feedback for performance/reviews, address grievances, and celebrate successes to boost engagement.
- Store Operations: Optimize merchandising for sales, manage inventory audits/cycle counts, operate POS systems, ensure policy compliance, and support online order pickups.
- Pet Care: Maintain standards for cleaning/feeding/watering, care for new/sick pets, quarantine arrivals, and transport to vets as needed for pet health/safety.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Must have full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational/detail-oriented skills for visually appealing layouts. No direct reports, but guide associates and provide performance input.
