Role Overview
As Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead), share responsibility for operational excellence. Drive merchandising, inventory, pet care, and associate leadership while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Maintain a safe, organized store and act as leader on duty when needed. No direct reports, but guide associate development and provide performance feedback.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Support sales associates with training, mentoring, coaching, and feedback. Delegate tasks, lead when on duty, address complaints, and celebrate engagement.
Store Operations
Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory audits, conduct cycle counts, operate POS systems, and handle openings/closings. Ensure policy compliance and visually appealing layouts.
Pet Care Excellence
Maintain pet health standards: cleaning, feeding, quarantine for new arrivals, sick pet reporting/transport. Support online order pickups for positive pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. Physical demands include retail environment work; full details in store.
