Role Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor (Process Lead) shares responsibility for driving operational excellence in our Westminster, Colorado store. This full-time role focuses on merchandising, inventory management, pet care operations, associate leadership, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. Act as leader on duty, upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Train and mentor associates on merchandise handling, product knowledge, and standards. Delegate tasks, provide feedback for performance reviews, handle grievances, and celebrate achievements to boost engagement.
- Store Operations: Optimize sales through merchandise strategies, inventory audits, cycle counts, and sales analysis. Manage POS systems, cash transactions, opening/closing procedures, and online order fulfillment.
- Pet Care Excellence: Maintain pet health standards—cleaning, feeding, monitoring sick/injured pets, and transporting to vets. Prepare new arrivals post-quarantine for sales floor.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Must have full-time flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays; computer proficiency; strong communication; composure under pressure; and organizational skills for visually appealing store layouts. No direct reports, but guide associates and act as leader when needed.
