Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Airdrie store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a dynamic pet retail setting. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover sales floor to standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—passion for pets is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
