Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Albuquerque, NM, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care responsibilities while driving sales and promoting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pickups.
- Provide hands-on pet care: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage inventory, support pricing/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety: respond to sick pets, transport to vet, foster secure environment.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk/climb, handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy settings. Depth perception required.
