Role Overview

As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate in Ancaster, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and their pets while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care. Enjoy flexibility across store areas, from sales floor to services, in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Provide pet healthcare for store-owned animals: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, product facing/filling, price changes, merchandising per sales floor plans.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, customers; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.

Experience & Skills

Entry-level role welcoming pet enthusiasts. Required: strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands include standing, lifting 50+ lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), ladder use, animal handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
