Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive the pet parent experience through exceptional service, pet care, and store operations. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, sales opportunities, and pathways to leadership in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and emergency response.
- Maintain merchandising standards: stocking, facing products, price changes, and cleanliness.
- Promote events, recommend products/services, and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Flexibly support all store areas including services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and animal handling in a lively store setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
