Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Auburn, California, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and maintain pet safety and store standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care, sales, and teamwork in a fun, pet-filled retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders for seamless pickup.
• Promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and handle live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
