Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Augusta store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and drive sales while upholding our vision of exceptional pet experiences. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, and support pricing/promotions.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety, respond to sick pets, and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
