Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Austin, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-filled workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions, Treats enrollment, and charity drives; recommend products and services.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and handle sick/injured pets promptly.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Vision for depth perception and tolerance for pet hair/noise essential.
