Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Baltimore, MD, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and keep our store thriving. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting focused on pet happiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service: greet customers, answer questions, handle online pickups, and process sales.
- Deliver expert pet care: feed/water/clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Maintain store standards: clean thoroughly, stock shelves, face products, update pricing, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers while assisting across departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and adapt to flexible schedules. Comfort with animals, composure under pressure, and a team mindset are essential.
