Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Barrie, Ontario, you'll be the friendly face for pet parents, delivering outstanding service while caring for our store's live pets. This entry-level role combines customer engagement, pet care, and store operations in a dynamic retail environment. Enjoy flexibility, weekly pay, and paths to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats—including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks: stock products, face shelves, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends. Physical demands include standing, climbing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-filled store.
