Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive the pet parent experience, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer engagement, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
