Role Overview

As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate in Bedford, Nova Scotia, you'll be the friendly face of PetSmart, engaging pet parents and caring for store pets. This entry-level role combines customer service, sales, and hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail setting. Enjoy a flexible schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays, while upholding our vision for pet safety and store excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, merchandise products, and recover sales floor to standards.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and love animals. Flexibility for varied shifts and comfort in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions.
