Role Overview
As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate in Belleville, Ontario, you'll be the friendly face of PetSmart, engaging pet parents and caring for store pets. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in pet retail, customer service, and animal care while upholding our vision of exceptional pet experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock merchandise, and recover sales floor to standards.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
