Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Bethesda MD you'll engage pet parents provide positive experiences and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance pet safety and direct pet care responsibilities in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Sales Excellence
- Greet answer questions prepare online orders and ensure seamless pickups
- Recommend sell merchandise services live pets and promote events like adoptions
Pet Care & Safety
- Feed water clean habitats for birds reptiles small animals fish and crickets
- Administer vet-directed medications identify sick pets and transport as needed
- Maintain safe environments for associates pets and customers
Store Operations
- Execute price changes stock shelves face products and recover sales floor
- Uphold cleanliness standards and assist across departments including services
Follow all policies participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs+ (team lift 100lbs+) handle animals in moderate-noise wet pet-hair environments. Reasonable accommodations available.
