Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates (Retail Sales Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering outstanding customer service, caring for live pets, and maintaining a clean, safe space. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store areas, including services, and is perfect for animal lovers ready to make an impact every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet transport as needed.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoption weekends.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – we provide training! Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Physically, you'll stand, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift heavier), climb ladders, and work in a pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animals.
