Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Brampton, Ontario, you'll be the friendly face of PetSmart, engaging pet parents and caring for store pets. This entry-level role combines customer service, sales, and hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail setting. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, merchandise products, and recover sales floor.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication skills, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and composure under pressure. Physically, expect standing, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lifts over 100 lbs), ladder use, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception and animal handling are essential.
