Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Broomall, Pennsylvania, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting focused on pet happiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Drive sales by recommending products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Execute store operations: stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
- Respond to pet health issues promptly, including vet transport, and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items essential.
